Avantages
They pay for performance, fast decision making, clear metrics. Lots of career movement for top performers. Great learning experience.
Inconvénients
There is no hand-holding, no second chances, no ambiguity. You do what needs or be done, or you're out. That can be overly harsh at times for employees who experience variability in their job performance. Also, force ranking employees results in excessive turnover of solid quality people.
