    Avantages

    Pour moi les avantages sont le nom et le prestige de la marque dans ton CV. Donc pour une courte période 2-3 ans recommandé, et après essayer intégrer d´autres marque du groupe avec le veritable esprit Nestlé.

    L´esprit et ambiance d´equipe soudée et valeurs Nestlé un peu moin presente que dans d´autres marque du groupe Nestlé mais ça commence a aller mieux maintenant ..

    Inconvénients

    avant: Pendant beaucoup d´années trop office politique sharkN´ teams dans middle-management ( résultats beaucoup de cas burn-outs ou stabbed in the back/ black listed, mise au placard)

    Maintenant : Meilleure ambiance en general et les grands valeurs du groupe Nestlé commencent a s´appliquer en fin avec l´arrivée du nouveau CEO, ce qui n´était pas le cas avant.. (to say the least..)

    faire de plan de carrière plus clairs a chaque employé
    par exemple : si tu demande a n´importe qui du middle management quel sera son/ses possibles next steps chez Nespresso? (9/10) elle ou il te dira surement quelle n´a aucune idée.. j´ai pas de visibilité de possible postes .. (en general toujours informé /ou pas .. au dernier moment, ce qui ne motive personne..)
    resultat: perte de talents beaucoup de grand cerveaux quittent la boite ou burn-out

    Avantages

    Working at Nespresso, USA you have the ability to really change processes and ways of working to best service the Customer. Senior Management is always open to listening and activing ideas that add value and make for a better customer experience. Work life balance is great and benefits are outstanding!

    Inconvénients

    Sometimes outdated technology in the company can slow down execution and we could use an upgrade in our CRM tools. I think most companies face that issue, as technology is always changing

    Lobby more with HQ to adapt to technology a bit faster.

    Avantages

    Nespresso USA is a company that puts their people first. This is a company that I wish to remain at until I retire. After 6 years I am still excited about my job. Opportunities are endless if you put in the effort. Excellent benefits. Feels like a true work family.

    Inconvénients

    There are a handful of negative employees as you find anywhere, no matter how many opportunities are presented before them they will never be happy. Success is not something that is handed, it must be earned.

    Avantages

    -Two free machines a year -$300 Credit to use towards coffee, machines and accessories stacked with a discount -PT 30 positions get benefits

    Inconvénients

    -BE SICK-BEWARE the point system. If you're ill even with a note from a doctor recommending you to stay home or in hospital you WILL collect points against you for being sick leading to your termination. (Policy says doctors notes not accepted)
    -Not many options to move up
    -Company is very inconsistent with policies or coffee releases, pretty much nothing is certain
    -NESSOFT the software used is used by all the boutiques and it freezes and is so slow
    -Outdated payment system (seperate credit card system from POS and no split payments with cash and card)

    Avantages

    You get free coffee, 2 free machines every year, Discounts with corporate perks, decent salary around $14 hourly. (I was under paid). Benefits, 401 k, and some cool parties!

    Inconvénients

    Work standing up all day, no time for breaks, and if u take one they make u feel uncomfortable, you are technically part time while working like 35 hours a week almost full time without having the same benefits a full time employee has like a metro card every month. Having to deal with the company want us to push sales like it's a McDonald's instead of a luxury company, and having to learn a lot about things u don't care about since you can't force a customer buy a certain amount of coffee sleeves,and having that affect your average sales performance. If u start as a sales associate it will be very hard to get anywhere in the company unless u have connections and know the right people. And even then they will probably hire outside of the company because of policy or whatever. Unless they just want to move you. IS NOT A NORMAL RETAIL JOB, where u come and service clients,sell coffee and machines and are done and so on... you have to learn sooooo much about things that are not important and are protocol.

    I loved taking care of the customers, I cared Not about a lot of things that took time from that. I enjoyed learning about the coffee and the company. Just too many policy and numbers and crap. Nothing management can do, it comes from above them. My manager was great at Soho, she is still the manager currently.

    The patriarchy is alive and well at Nespresso USA. And the few women who are at the top of the organization are so oblivious and old-school they just enable it. Most of the sexism is subversive (which is dangerous because it just creeps up on you), but there have also been occasions of blatant sexism — leering behavior and comments towards attractive female employees and models with whom the brand has worked.
    This (mostly male and white) leadership has a habit of self congratulatory behavior instead of putting their heads down or digging in with their teams to actually get work done. This is true of the very top and whole C-level suite.
    If you ask someone at the company what the culture is they would say “entrepreneurial” — but that’s just a euphemism for dysfunctional. There really is no company culture to speak of, unless you count the aforementioned Euro machismo regime. None of the senior leadership would last a day at a startup because they take no accountability for their own actions.
    In true Nestle fashion, they will just continue to rotate middle-aged white men into those roles until they run the business into the ground because they can’t keep up and retain talent that can actually take the brand into the next twenty years.
    The culture is so broken and the organization so concerned about optics over people that a posting on Glassdoor carries more weight than a direct conversation with HR who is powerless in this political mafia to do anything.
    In conclusion, if you value integrity over a Seamless stipend for lunch, look elsewhere for employment.

    Avantages

    There are many pros to working for Nespresso. Supportive managers, Nestle benefits, coffee credit, etc. The company truly takes care of its employees. Nespresso is genuinely customer centric, stopping at nothing to ensure club members are taken care of as well. The company is definitely headed in the right direction!

    Inconvénients

    In terms of technology Nespresso has a lot of catching up to do on the retail side. The point of sale system gets the job done but is archaic, not efficient, and goes offline regularly. This is not a good impression on club members waiting while the program is frozen...again. It’s fine if I’m in the office dealing with computer problems but on the sales floor club members definitely notice and it is not acceptable. Nespresso has luxury product and service and the technology should match to make the transaction seamless for our club members. This is not a boutique specific issue.

    In my experience Nespresso has been extremely supportive and has helped me develop my career. Management is definitely for its employees and club members. I think if the company continues to grow its boutique network in the US it has to update its point of sale system to remain competitive with other luxury retailers and to improve internal efficiencies. I know this is an HQ matter but hopefully it’s in the works.
